Annual Service Auction

Our Friendsgiving Service Auction

Each year our congregation hosts a giant laugh filled party all centered on enjoying each other’s company and talents for the upcoming year. This is our annual service auction. The Service Auction usually involves everyone here at UUSB in one way or another. It is our largest fundraiser of the year and includes food, games, jokes, both a silent and oral auction, and so much more.

Some of the ways we need volunteers include

  • Donating Items – Physical items can be donated to the silent auction while event based items can be donated to the oral auction. We also have folks reach out to local businesses for gift cards and other donations.
  • Assisting with Food – The plan for food varies each year, but our volunteers often donate their time and resources to help everyone have a delicious experience
  • Be part of the Decoration Team – Each auction has a theme and we have the decorations to match. Volunteers often bring decoration items from home or help put up the decorations that we have on hand.
  • Assist with night of roles:
    • Joke Teller
    • Auctioneer
    • Certified beer and wine server
    • Silent Auction Manager
