Art Openings
Throughout the year we feature a variety of artists in the hallways of UUSB. Sometimes we work with groups like the Northern Indiana Artists and sometimes we feature individual artists like our recent show with Kelsey Triebold. There is always a celebration at the official start of the show which usually includes lovely snacks, beverages, and an opportunity to meet the artists. All art pieces are available for purchase and a small portion of the sale goes to support UUSB. If you are interested in having your art on display or assisting with the art shows, please reach out to office@firstunitarian.us
Concerts
UUSB has hosted a variety of different musicians as they perform for us in our sanctuary space. Some recent artists have included Francis Luke Accord, Caroline Cotter and The Weeping Willows. If you would like to be involved with supporting the concerts reach out to office@firstunitarian.us
Jammies & Cereal Bar party
This event is great for kids and kids at heart. Scheduled on a Saturday morning folks are invited to join us in the sanctuary as we watch nostalgic Saturday Morning Cartoons while enjoying a potluck style cereal bar. We set up a comfy space on the floor of the sanctuary and provide everyone with a variety of dairy and non-dairy options to eat with their cereal. Reach out to the office for more information.
Board Game Social
This event series involves enjoying a leisurely afternoon playing board games with friends. We often have a larger role playing game going and we encourage folks to bring their own games and snacks to supplement the collection we have on site at UUSB. We need volunteers to help set up the tables and chairs in the Great Hall and someone to open and close the building in advance of the event.
