Living to Eat

Why should we *not* follow a high-fat, low-carb diet? Are GMOs really bad for us? By letting go of some common myths about our foods, we can create a much healthier (and more fun) relationship with eating. Thank you, Susan Siemers, for supporting our congregation by purchasing this sermon at our auction last November.

Sabbath Kept For Realz!

How the ancient idea of a weekly Sabbath is surprisingly satisfying to some of our human cousins in the 21st century. Might we adopt a similar idea to revive our own families?

The Process of Interdependence

We’ll celebrate the final of our UUA Principles, respect for the interdependent web of life, with a Flower Festival and an exploration of Process Theology. Children are encouraged to attend. Please bring a cut flower, paper flower or even a picture of a flower to give away.

All We Are Saying…

“True peace is not merely the absence of war, it is the presence of justice.” Jane Addams’ quote inspires us to think beyond John Lennon’s hopeful (if naïve) lyric. Part of our ongoing series on the Seven Principles of our UUA, we’ll explore the goal of world community.

Part of Something so Beautiful

Our beloved dead live on in the tree of life, and in our memories. We’ll toll the names of those we’ve lost, and share pictures/mementoes This service will be multiplatform–we’ll gather in person and online. However many of us are together in the sanctuary, you can definitely find us at First Zuumitarian: https://uuma.zoom.us/j/4774349822
