Mid-Autumn Festival

What do we see when we gaze at the moon? A friendly face? A frog? A flag planted for all humankind? To mark the occasion of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, we will honor our lunar companion through selections of Tang and Song Dynasty poetry and meditate on what the moon’s constancy, companionship, and distance offer us in troubled times.

Tarryn Chun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Film, Television, and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame. She has been attending UU of South Bend since 2023 with her husband, Kyle, and daughter, Hannah.
