Kurt Vonnegut was one of the most influential writers of the 20^th century, and we claim him as one of our own. While considered a science fiction writer by many critics, Vonnegut explored complex political and economic issues that ran counter to conventional wisdom. Chuck will discuss Vonnegut’s role as an iconoclast, and Tom will use his first novel, Player Piano, to explore the question – What are people for?
