A Midwestern Slant on Climate Change and What People Are Doing About It.

On Sunday, June 12th, we will have two speakers, Alex Bazen and Alan Hamlet.  Alexandro Bazán (Alex) is the Sustainability Manager for the City of South Bend.  Alan Hamlet is an Associate Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences at the University of Notre Dame.  

Alan will give an overview about climate change and the effects on the Midwest.  Alex will speak about his current work in South Bend and environmental organizing he and others did in Lake County that resulted in a Sustainability Plan for the county.  This presentation will focus on the facts from knowledgeable sources and discussion on what those in power can do to improve the situation on a local level.
