Great Decisions
Great Decisions, an 8 session program prepared by the Foreign Policy Association, is typically held in February, March and April each year. Participants read articles, watch videos and discuss 8 topics about timely issues with foreign policy. Folks agree that this program helps provide needed context for understanding news reports.
The Great Decisions program represents our congregations commitment to living our 2nd, 4th, 6th and 7th principles as we work for justice, equity, compassion, search for truth and meaning, support the goal of peace, liberty and justice for all, respecting and learning about interdependence throughout the world.
For 2025, the Great Decisions topic list includes:
- American Foreign Policy at the Crossroads
- U.S. Changing Leadership of the World Economy
- U.S. – China Relations
- International Cooperation on Climate Change
- The Future of NATO and European Security
- AI and American National Security
