Our community includes a wide array of different opportunities to get involved. Major opportunities include:

• Joining a Committee
• Participating in an Affinity Group
• Volunteering to support specific projects
• Attending events throughout the year

The majority of our activities throughout the community are hosted by various committees. These are small groups of community members and friends who come together to work on a specific topic. For example, we have a committee on social justice, Sunday Service, social activities and more! You can see committee meetings on the church calendar. All of these are open to anyone who would like to participate with the exception of the Committee on Ministry which is a board appointed group of folks.

In addition to our committees, we have several affinity groups. Officially these are hosted by committees and are usually small groups focused on building community together. You do not have to be on a committee to participate in affinity groups. Most of these are open and you can see their meeting times on the community calendar.

Throughout the year we have special projects that we work on. For example, our community regularly hosts musicians through SoUUnds a music organization founded by one of our members. You can volunteer to provide day of support to these kinds of events, or help with the organizing of them as well. Other special events that we host each year include the annual service auction, Trivia Night, and the Love is Love Valentine’s Dinner.
