She has been involved with many denominations nationally from New Hampshire to Wyoming and Southwestern Michigan. She has preached in South Bend, IN at U.C.C. congregations including Zion Community Church. Her home church is the First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She will be discussing the following:
During a health crisis, Rev. Dr. Tere Krueger began a path of healing that led her into forgiveness work. She will discuss deep and varied meanings on forgiveness of both self and others. She recently rediscovered the work of Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz which retranslates the Lord’s Prayer into rich, figurative poetry in English. Klotz argues that if there was a man Jesus, he is sure to have spoken Aramaic, not Greek. As each language comes from vastly different world views, Klotz’s writing reimagines ancient Christianity linguistically and transmutes our modern understanding of the teachings of Jesus.
