Unitarian Universalism is a bit different than other religious traditions. As a result, it can be a little bit tricky to articulate what it means to be UU.
One of our members recently took at stab at unpacking what it means to be UU through a social media post.
These images highlight the fact that many folks who appreciate UUism have experienced some hesitation about organized religion in general in part due to the fact that most religions make strong claims about what is true.
One of the defining characteristics of Unitarian Universalism is that this tradition does not make strong claims about what is true. Instead, we gather together as humans exploring the big wide world of spiritual mystery.
UUs encourage each other to pursue whatever form of spirituality works for them – whether that be embracing atheism, practicing magic, worshiping the God of Abrahamic traditions, or crafting your own unique flavor.
Whatever spiritual beliefs you have, you are welcome at this congregation.
If you want to know more, you are officially invited to join us for our Sunday service at 10:30am every weekend. If you want to learn more about UUism and what we believe, check out the about us tab.
