As part of our ongoing commitment to equity and in recognition of the inherent worth and dignity of every person, First Unitarian Church strives to make their activities available to folks either needing to or preferring to attend virtually.
Since 2019 First Unitarian Church has made it possible for folks to attend Sunday Services via Zoom. Although there have been many equipment upgrades since our first Zoom offering, we have maintained use of the same Zoom link since that time. This is about to change.
Our congregation is officially switching to a new Zoom link for attending Sunday Services. The new Zoom link will go into effect on July 21st 2024 and will be the main zoom channel for the church for the foreseeable future.
This is the information to use the new Zoom link. Remember you can always find the most up to date Zoom Link information by clicking the “Zoom Links” tab at the top of this page:
Link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/5742346588
Passcode: 02221952
Meeting ID: 574 234 6588
Phone Number to call: 312 626 6799
The meeting ID may ring a bell for folks who frequently call into the office. This is our church’s phone number. If you ever forget the number, you can always look in the bottom left of our website. Our phone and physical address are always located there.
The passcode to this new link takes inspiration from an important moment in our church history. On February 22, 1952 our church charter was officially signed. In the great hall, just by the front door, you can see the list of folks who signed this initial charter.
In addition to our Sunday Service Zoom channel, we also have a secondary Zoom channel known as the “Adult Forum Zoom” or “Small Meeting Zoom” This Zoom link will stay the same.
The congregation has two distinct Zoom channels in order to facilitate the possibility that two virtual groups may want to meet at the same time. The second channel became known as the “Adult Forum Zoom” because it was Adult Forum’s overlap with the setup time for Sunday Services that initially created the need for a secondary Zoom channel. Now many groups make use of this secondary channel to facilitate their meetings.
