It’s time to think about enrolling in Great Decisions 2023–an eight part program that’s part of our Church’s Lifelong Learning Program. The program is sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association. Groups throughout the country meet to learn about and discuss issues facing the US in the World. First Unitarian has been offering this program annually for many years. In 2023, we will meet 8 times (but not everyone attends all 8 sessions).

We meet on Sunday afternoons from 1-2:30 or 3 pm. 1st meeting will be Feb 12. Format is to read the article from the briefing book (still a few available from Barbara Williams at a discounted rate of $27–after these are spoken for, price rises to $33). We then meet and view a 30 minute video on the topic of the week followed by about an hour of discussion.

The eight topics for 2023 are: Energy Geopolitics, War Crimes, China and the US, Economic Warfare, Politics in Latin America, Global Famine, Iran at a Crossroads, Climate Migration. If you are interested in participating in any or most of the topics, email barbaralwilliams@gmail.com
