First Unitarian Church of South Bend’s Board of Trustees recommends the following in accordance with Federal, State, and County guidance regarding COVID-19 and other infectious Respiratory Illnesses.
Our Core Prevention Strategy
Stay up to date with all your vaccines (including 24-25 COVID 19, 24 influenza, pneumonias, and RSV). Practice good handwashing and hygiene. Another way to protect yourself and others is to wear a mask and distance yourself from others.
If you are not feeling well (fatigue, runny/stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, fever, GI changes, loss of smell or taste, etc), please contact your healthcare provider as effective treatments for influenza and COVID 19 are effective if initiated early. These treatments can often reduce complications. Also, stay home and join us on Zoom.
If you have a known exposure or wonder if you might have COVID 19, test yourself, stay home and retest in 2 days. It usually takes at least 2 days for the virus to replicate enough for the home test to be accurate.
