One of Us: Honoring Jane Addams

On December 10, 1931, Jane Addams became the first American woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, for her work at Hull-House in Chicago. On that same day, 76 years later, Illinois celebrated the first Jane Addams Day. More recently, she’s been inducted into LGBT halls of fame all over the

country. And yes, she attended Unitarian churches. In so many ways, all her life, this amazing woman built community and her best to “fix the world.” We honor her and her inspiration for so many lives. Led by Eli Williams and Anne Mannix.
