Church Staff

Interim Minister, Sian Wiltshire

Sian has been serving the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville as their intern and sabbatical minister and previously was a leader at her home congregation, the Rainier Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Seattle, where she led the Welcoming Congregation process. She’s lived around the world, from Rome, Italy, to Sydney, Australia; from Boston to Seattle: and now calls South Bend her home. Her travels and experiences have led her to believe in the kinship and strength of humanity, an imminent experience of the Holy and the wisdom of sages past and present. She lives with her dog, Ananda, who thankfully walks Sian daily.

Church Administrator, Carlton Higginbotham

Carlton has been the administrator for the church since 1998. He holds degrees in English (Wheaton College) and Music (Indiana University Bloomington) and has been a professional church musician for over thirty years. In addition to his post at First Unitarian, he is Director of Music at First Baptist Church, South Bend, and is a freelance web designer.

Director of Religious Education, Heather Eschbach

Heather has worked in the education field for over 12 years in both the public and volunteer sectors and is a certified teacher in Michigan. Heather lives in South Bend with her husband, Bryan; they have three sons. Heather’s office hours are by appointment.
